Wright Brothers

These two men were geniuses! We visited Carillon Park, and saw their first plane.On its' first flight it flew for 39 seconds, and after a few tweaks and crash landings it was able to fly for 59 minutes. Big difference, right?
The men themselves were very interesting. They began as printers, then became bicycle makers and repairers. Finally they decided to build the first long flying airplane, and after a few years they succeeded.
Wilbur died in 1912. Orville gave up the company after his death, because he was not used to working without his brother. Sadly Wilbur died before their new house was complete. Orville and his sister moved in, and Orville made some adjustments. He tweaked his shower so that the piping curved all the way around, spraying you from head to toe. He also drilled a hole in his favorite chair and made a book holder.
Both of these men were geniuses that changed the way the world worked.
