Flight 93

Yesterday we visited the Flight 93 Memorial site. There was a long walk down a stone walkway past the crash site. A wall of granite had all the names of the heroes engraved on it. The park will soon be covered in wildflowers and trees in honor of the passengers. Niches along the wall held small keepsakes left by other visitors.
I had learned about Flight 93 in class, and no words an author can write can describe what you can see with your own eyes. I learned so much just by visiting.
It was a great experience to see a place where a group of people sacrificed themselves to protect our country.
